Hair Toppers & Thinning Hair

A private room,
a quiet conversation,
and a plan that fits
under a ponytail.

Thinning hair is common and rarely talked about. At QVD it is handled in a room off the salon floor by one artist, with nothing on display.

Who this is for

Postpartum shedding that never quite came back. A part that keeps widening. Hormones, medication, alopecia, hair loss after illness or treatment. A crown that photographs thinner than it feels. If you've started arranging your hair to hide something, this page is for you.

How it Works

1. A private consultation.

In our consultation room, door closed. No photographs unless you ask for them.

2. The Density Map.

Your artist maps where your hair is fine and where it is full, section by section. The map decides the route.

3. One of three routes.

– Made-to-Measure density extensions — rows placed only where the map shows, for hair that needs fullness more than length.

– A custom topper — matched to your color and texture, cut to blend at your own hairline, worn daily and removed at night or attached for weeks at a time.

– A full system, by consultation.

4. The fitting.

Cut, color, and blend are part of the fitting, not extras. Attached pieces are seen every four to six weeks.

Discretion

We do not publish before-and-after photographs of thinning-hair guests. Not on this page, not on social media, not in the salon. If you'd like to see work, we show it in the room, with the guest's written permission, and never with a name.

Investment

Toppers and systems are purchased as a piece and fitted as a service. Most first pieces at QVD land between $1,500 and $4,000, including the cut, color, and fitting, with care visits starting at $150. Your number is on paper before anything is ordered.
